Document A must be completed and returned to school no later than Friday 18th May 2012. This date is set by the Department of Education. The Students below are still yet to return their Transition forms:

The students will be learning/revising factors, equivalent fractions, simplifying fractions and operations such as adding and subtracting fractions.

In Reading, we are focusing on Question and Answer Relationships (QAR). There are four types of questions the students learn about.

They are:

  •  Right There
  • Think and Search
  • Author and Me and
  • On My Own

The purpose of this is for students to understand the type of question and therefore what they need to do to locate the answer.

In Writing, the students are working through more sophisticated elements of a persuasive text such as emotive language, alliteration, rhetorical questions and repetition.

Our Inquiry topic this term is Australian Government. The students have begun researching the three levels of government (local, state and federal) and the responsibilities within each one.
